PCV Rhett Scarbrough, in collaboration with his almamater Boise State's Construction Management Program, imported modern construction tools to his technical high school in Praia. In this thank you video to the people who helped out, he gives a brief tour of his school and has the students show off their newly acquired knowledge of modern construction technology.

Volunteers face a lot of ICT-related challenges in Africa that don’t exist in the US. Computer equipment tends to fail more frequently here, due to environmental factors like humidity and salt residue, and especially because of unstable voltage. When computer parts do fail, replacements are far less readily available here than at home. But one obstacle to Volunteers’ productivity with modern information and communication tools stands out – the scarcity and relatively high expense of Internet access.
