Youth Committee

PURPOSE:

The Youth Committee was created in 2007 to promote youth activities and awareness throughout the islands and give PCCV volunteers support and assistance planning and implementing youth activities.   We hope that this page will assist in improving communication among volunteers on different islands and give volunteers ideas and examples for projects involving Cape Verdean youth. 

The Youth Committee is dedicated to planning and implementing two activites involving youth that can be jointly done on all islands.  Exact dates are still being discussed.  Also on the agenda is the expansion of Camp Crioula to all islands to promote girls' life skills.

*How to study in the United States- Contact Maria Brito with the US Embassy.  She is the academic advisor for candidates wanting to study in the US and will evaluate on a case by case basis to see if the student qualifies.

volunteers in the past as examples.  Many can be adapted for youth in
general.
