Newsletter
We are now taking submissions for entries for the newsletter. We are
going to issue it around December, so we need all entries sent to me
by November 1st.
What sort of articles do we want? Anything! Some timely topics would
be spending the holidays away from home, HIV/AIDS in accordance with
World AIDS Day on December 1st, adjusting to the first couple of weeks
or months at site. I am also interested in anything discussing
forseeable or felt affects that Peace Corps budget cuts have on our
lives and work out in the field.
That said, we welcome anything related to Cape Verde, your Peace Corps
service, or any related topic, as well as it falls within standards of
decency (no profanity, et al). We will make every attempt at ensuring
that everyone who submits is included. Photos and ideas for features
are also welcome. As the editor, you can submit anything to me.
Also, we are still awaiting more info from the folks who previously
expressed interest in positions on the newsletter committee, such as
assistant editor, formatter, etc. so pleasure be sure to get them into
Brian, Rhonda, or myself.
Please let me know if you have any questions (just dont text me
because I broke my phone and cant see the screen)

I want to resurrect an old
I want to resurrect an old feature for the newsletter in which volunteers can post info about projects that they are doing. It might sound tedious, but it would really help everyone to get a good idea of the stuff that we are all working on, as well as providing a venue for you to get advice or feedback. Here is a handy format you can use, if you are so inclined. This is more directed toward second years since the first years are likely still getting a feel for things at site in the first months, but if there are some obnoxious overachievers out there, go for it.
